Bina Mehra was born in Vellore, India but moved to America at age three with her sister, and has lived in New Mexica and Northern California for most of her life. Her parents immigrated from India in the 1960s and were pioneers in the medical field.  Her father Bali, a cardiac surgeon/anesthesiologist and mother Santosh a radiologist, are Bina's role models who have instilled in her a strong work ethic and sense of integrity. After attending Melo School, Palo Alto, she enrolled at the University of San Diego and later transferred to Santa Clara.  She pursued a degree in interior design at the Academy of Art in San Francisco while working at Robert Allen Beacon Hill to follow her passion for interior design. She has lived in China, Belgium and Singapore over the last decade. She currently lives in Scarsdale, New York with her husband Sachin, daughter Anjali and son Shiv.
